The Canadian railroad company Rocky Mountaineer has prepared a surprise for travelers who love to stare at the window while traveling. Their new luxury carriages are almost entirely made of glass. Through these huge windows you can watch the amazing Rocky Mountains.
Visiting Western Canada, where there is even Banff National Park, views are important. Now, thanks to the Swiss company’s project, you can follow the changing Canadian landscapes and take pictures. Traveling with such a train is certainly an unforgettable experience. GoldLeaf are unusual railway wagons that run in Canada. How are they different from others? They have a glass dome that allows you to admire the beautiful views. This is especially important because the train route runs through the Canadian mountain ranges, which are considered one of the most picturesque regions in the world.
The glass wagons were designed and built by the Swiss railway company Stadler. Each of them can accommodate 72 people. Passengers can relax in folding and heated armchairs. The first four glass carriages will serve two popular tourist routes: between Vancouver and Lake Louise or the Banff National Park and a two-day tour between Vancouver and Jasper. The vehicles were designed completely from scratch together with Stadler in its Swiss and German factories. Particular attention will be paid to their efficiency and passenger comfort.
“The continual increase in the comfort of our passengers’ travel is the essence of our business. The care and effort that has been put in every detail of this model is worth emphasizing. We focus on a new definition of passenger comfort, “says Steve Sammut, CEO of Rocky Mountaineer.
