The Eiffel Tower was to be dismantled shortly after the World Exhibition 130 years ago. The French, however, liked it so much that it still stands today and has become the main symbol of Paris and all of France. Now it enjoys even better reputation than in the 19th century. And the French showed that they are able to come up with new uses for it. For example, a zip line on the tower.
When in 1889 the building was finished, it was very criticized by the Parisians. They thought that it did not match the image of the city. On the other hand, it made an impression on people, because then it was the highest construction in the world. Today, the inhabitants of the French capital love the Eifliel Tower.
Zip Line
The upper zip line station is located on the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower at an altitude of 115 meters. It is worth noting that it is not even half of the height of the Paris tower, which measures 324 meters in total. After covering 800 meters in about a minute, users will land in the complex of the eighteenth-century École Militaire. The average speed of such a journey will be about 50 km / h, but at the fastest time a speed of 90 km / h is achieved.
The queue is an advertising project of the French mineral water producer Perrier. This is not the first time, however, when the zip-line will allow you to leave the Eiffel Tower quickly. Previously, a similar attraction was installed in 2017 on the occasion of the French Open tournament. This year, the next edition of the competition coincides with the 130th birthday of the Tower.
